This first album “AKIXÍ” is music collection written and/or arranged as a bass solo repertoire. That's why "BASS SOLO OPERA PRIMA".
Just two songs, “Explícitament” and “Hey Jude, Hey Gaza”, are recorded playing double bass bow and acoustic bass guitar, the rest are recorded as acoustic bass guitar solo.
“Cançó Per Bubú” is a song composed by Jordi Bonell, “Arabesque” is an adaptation from piano work by Claude Debussy. Rest are composed by Jordi Gaspar.
“Introspección” is a composition with an open solo trying to dive into the subconscious. “Elida”, “Maruxa”, “Elisa”, “Sol Muller” are four close women portraits. I tried to connect to their respective mind when they were child, but at last I could not avoid the adult perception. “Bad News” is a three actors game: Bad News, the Idealized Memories and the Time, who fades out the others at last. “El Árbol”. This piece is a watercolour from my son relation ship. “Explícitament” is a love song with explicit passion. “Hey Jude, Hey Gaza” is composed flaying about Beatles song motive, and it becomes a thought about victims there. “Akixí” means something like “now”, “here” and “my way”. It is a puzzle mixing what I expected, what I am doing and how I could manage that… “En Pie” is just a morning composition for just one voice solo.
